After serving for two years (2001-2003) as dorm parents for the Covenant mission children who were studying at Chiang Mai International School, the Friesens returned to Thailand in 2004 as Covenant project missionaries. Tim, a psychologist, has started a counseling center for missionaries throughout the Asia region, for whom Chiang Mai has long been a convenient hub. Tammy teaches at CMIS.
